Preparing to challenge the highest certification, NSE8 Fortinet CCIE.

 

The CCIE Security course has started at the academy, and separately, I plan to take part in the NSE8 bootcamp to challenge myself.

 

My goal is to study firewalls thoroughly.

 

I chose Fortinet because my company heavily uses Fortinet products, and it feels strange to only study Cisco.

 

The NSE8 certification is the equivalent of Fortinet's CCIE, and there is only one person in my company holding this certification. They lead the entire engineering team.

 

I don't know anyone else studying for this certification.

 

Despite searching,

it’s hard to find resources,

and very few people seem to obtain it.

 

It’s estimated that only about 3,000 people worldwide hold the certification.

In contrast, CCIE certifications are reaching nearly 70,000.

Currently, the academy is offering a CCIE Security course, and I am planning to study for both tracks, including NSE8 simultaneously.

 

My goal is to master firewalls completely.

 

In 2025, I plan to focus on Cisco Firewalls (CCIE Security) and Fortinet Firewalls (NSE8).

 

By 2026, I aim to tackle Palo Alto Firewalls (PCNSE) and Juniper Firewalls (JNCIE-ENT).

 

 

I plan to leave no excuses behind and complete it all.
